How to play Escape Velocity

Escape the neon city. Jump barriers, slide under lasers and clear the route with bombs.

Controls

Space / Up: jump. J / Down: slide. K: bomb. Gold batteries refill your bombs. Speed increases with distance.

Scoring and goals

Distance gives ten points per metre. Batteries add 180 points; obstacles cleared by bombs add 120. Survive as long as possible.

Modes and saving

Training continues with increasing difficulty until you run out of lives. Championship has four rounds: clear 3, 4, 5 and 6 courses, duels or waves; Escape Velocity requires 500, 750, 1000 and 1250 metres. Purchased aids are consumed when starting. Pause, resume a saved run or finish to record your score.

Tip

Learn the rhythm before taking risks. Save your hearts, use special actions at difficult moments and compare your records on the local leaderboard.
